How to get started

Thanks for helping test ModernRetire— a retirement planning app for modeling income, taxes, Social Security, healthcare costs, Roth conversions, and “what if” scenarios.

1. Request access

  1. Go to modernretire.com/beta.
  2. Fill out the short form using the email you want for your account.
  3. If it asks you to confirm your email, click the link in that message too.

2. Wait for your invite

Testers are approved in small waves. You should get an invite email within a day or two. Check spam if you do not see it.

3. Open your invite link

  1. Open the personal link in the email (it looks like app.modernretire.com/invite/accept?token=…).
  2. Prefer a computer or tablet if you can — phone works, but the planner is easier on a bigger screen.
  3. Create an account or sign in with the same email you used on the form.

Do not go straight to the app without the invite link. Already invited? Sign in to the planner.

4. Set up your plan

  • New accounts see a guided walkthrough (basics, income, expenses, accounts, and more). Use Save and finish later anytime and come back.
  • When you are signed in, look for a ✓ Synced pill — that means your plan is backed up to the cloud.

What to try (next week or two)

  • Enter your real (or realistic) numbers in Profile
  • Check the Dashboard projection and cash flow
  • Run the Optimizer or Social Security optimizer if you are close to retirement
  • Try Compare for a Roth conversion or “what if I retire a year earlier”
  • If something breaks, that is exactly what we need to know

Please include what you were doing, what went wrong, your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.), and a screenshot if you can. We aim to reply within 48 hours.

If you see “Early access by invitation”

You have not gotten your invite yet — finish step 1 and wait for the email, or email support@modernretire.com and we will check.
